star promotions

The Stars are the secretive inner council responsible for creating and commanding the Constellation. They are the only ones who know the full details of the organization’s membership, plans and resources, and have absolute authority over recruitment, discipline, and operations, not to mention access to great wealth and power. They receive codenames based on the most prominent stars in the night sky, and wield authority over a particular specialization such as fundraising, scientific research, or political activity in the organization.

Full members of the Constellation, aka Planets, can become Stars if they wish by making a request of the current Stars after meeting the following IC requirements:

1) Have been a Planet for at least two months without being disciplined for any failures or breaking of the group’s rules.
2) Demonstrated a strong commitment to the Constellation’s cause through the completion of missions, especially high-risk missions which advance the Master Plan
3) Be on good enough terms with existing Stars to pass a majority vote on their promotion. In most cases this vote will be handwaved to take place ‘off-screen.’

However, there is also an OOC aspect to Star promotion! Players of promoted characters are making a commitment to have their character be an active and reliable participant in the Constellation’s arc, and advancing its plots. Players will also be invited to help administer and maintain the Commstellation community. With this in mind, players interested in Star promotion should be able to demonstrate two consecutive months of passing Activity Check at maskormenace without strikes, hiatuses, or warning notes from the moderators.

With that in mind, proceed if your character wishes to ascend to the inner circle of the Constellation and become a Star:

NAME/ALIAS: Including their codename as a Planet, if applicable.
CONSTELLATION MEMBER SINCE: Please link to where and when they signed up!
MISSIONS COMPLETED: Please name examples of the character’s involvement in Constellation plotting that demonstrates their value to the group! Links are not necessary but appreciated.
GAME ACTIVITY: Please link to your last two comments on the monthly Activity Check at Mask or Menace which you passed without strikes, hiatuses, or warning notes from the moderators.
DESIRED CODENAME: Pick a star name, any star name! That hasn't been taken, that is.
DESIRED SPECIALIZATION: If any. It's all right to dabble in a field that a current Star is already responsible for, but be wary of arousing villainous jealousies!
